This policy explains the main types of information involved when you use Find & Bind and the choices available to you.

Plain-language summary

Information you add to a public profile, request, or listing can be seen by others. Account and technical information is used to operate the service. Messages are not public posts, but they may be processed when needed to deliver the feature, address a report, enforce rules, or meet legal obligations.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the Find & Bind website and related features that link to this policy. It does not control how another user, an external website, a payment provider, or another independent service handles information you give directly to them.

2. Information involved

The information processed can include:

  • Account information: your name, email address, login credentials, account status, and settings.
  • Profile information: a display name, avatar, description, general location details, categories, and other information you choose to add.
  • Posts and media: requests, listings, titles, descriptions, categories, prices or budgets, images, availability, and related details.
  • Communications: messages exchanged through the service and information submitted in a report, dispute, feedback, or support request.
  • Activity information: saved posts, saved searches, notifications, and interactions with service features.
  • Technical information: records such as IP address, browser type, device information, page requests, timestamps, and error or security logs may be generated when the service is used.

Information may come directly from you, from your use of the service, from another user who interacts with you, or from a service used to operate a feature.

3. How information is used

Information may be used to:

  • Create, authenticate, and maintain accounts.
  • Publish requests, listings, and profile details selected for display.
  • Provide search, discovery, saved items, notifications, and messaging.
  • Respond to questions, reports, disputes, or technical issues.
  • Detect misuse, investigate suspicious activity, and enforce platform rules.
  • Understand performance and improve features and usability.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and valid official requests.

4. Public information and visibility

Requests, listings, public profile fields, and associated media are intended for discovery and may be visible without an account. They may also appear in search results or be shared by people who can view them.

Before publishing, avoid including an exact home address, personal identity documents, private contact details, financial information, or anything you do not want publicly available.

Messages are intended for their participants rather than the public. They may still be processed where reasonably necessary to deliver messaging, investigate a report or dispute, protect the service or its users, or comply with law.

5. When information may be shared

Information may be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • With other users or the public when you use a feature designed to display or send that information.
  • With service providers that support functions such as hosting, email delivery, storage, monitoring, or technical operations, subject to the arrangements governing their work.
  • For legal or safety reasons when disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or enforce applicable terms.
  • As part of an organisational change such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable requirements.
  • With your direction or consent.

6. Retention

Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. The period can depend on whether an account remains active, the type of information, operational needs, disputes, misuse prevention, and legal or recordkeeping requirements.

When information is deleted or an account is closed, some records may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, fraud-prevention records, or records that must be retained. Public content copied or shared by others may also remain outside Find & Bind's control.

7. Your choices

Depending on the feature and applicable law, you may be able to:

  • Review or update account and profile information.
  • Change, close, or remove eligible posts through My Posts.
  • Adjust available notification or visibility settings.
  • Manage browser cookies, local storage, and site permissions.
  • Ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other rights that apply to your information.

A request may require reasonable steps to confirm your identity and may be limited where the law permits or requires information to be retained.

8. Cookies and local storage

Find & Bind uses browser storage technologies where needed for functions such as keeping a session active, remembering a theme preference, supporting security, or maintaining feature state. Your browser may let you clear or block these technologies, but doing so can cause some features to stop working as expected.

9. Security

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information in the context of the service. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Use a unique password, protect your login and one-time codes, sign out on shared devices, and be cautious with unexpected links or requests for sensitive data.

10. Younger users

The service is not intended for a person who cannot lawfully create an account or enter relevant arrangements without the involvement of a parent, guardian, or other authorised adult. If you believe a younger person has provided personal information inappropriately, use an official Find & Bind contact channel.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service, its practices, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top will be revised when a new version is published. Where appropriate, an additional notice may be provided.

12. Contact

For a privacy question or request, use the official support or contact method made available through Find & Bind. Include enough information to identify the account and request, but never send a password or one-time code.
